At ten months you love to pull up on anything and try to walk along it.  At times you let go just for an instant.  You can stand (sometimes) for 10 seconds on your own before collapsing to the floor.   You are on Day 6 of a fever.  You are miserable.    You are really finicky about food.  One day you love pears, the next day you hate them.  And on it goes.  We never know.  You'd much rather be hungry than eat something you don't like today or dri...

At nine months and a little you are pulling yourself up to standing quickly now.  You like standing but don't show much interest in walking.     And you now have FIVE five! teeth.  That fifth one popped in while you were working on the fourth and we never even noticed it til it was all the way in.     You are just starting to sign "more."  You have learned to scream when you  are around your brother, regardless of whether he has pushed you in any way or no...

At eight months old your bag of tricks is growing.  You wave in response to us waving or if we ask if you can say "Hi."  It's a cute wave that always turns out sideways.  You can also clap when asked and sometimes clap when we exclaim that you or Canaan have done a good job.   While you've been rocking on all fours routinely for about a month now, just this past week we've had official "take-off" and you are moving forward.  You're crawling.  Albeit slowly.  Ye...

At six months you've really got the rolling thing down.  You started rolling front to back and back to front and now you can go on either side.  You've figured out you can get places this way ... like over to your brother's car that you want to put in your mouth.     You took your first plane ride using your brand new passport.  It was a doozy.  Quito to Atlanta to Chicago and about 36 hours later Chicago to Boise.  You much prefer to sleep in your bed than in ...

Just for the records, I need to make note that Eden rolled over for the first time last Saturday (about 4 months, 1 week).  Her dad saw the whole thing in live action since I was washing dishes and he had Canaan on the potty with Eden right between us on her ladybug/flower activity mat.  She was pretty surprised to find herself on her back but did it two more times before rolling a little too hard and knocking her head on the tile.     We made a little bit too big of a deal o...

At seven weeks you are adjusting well to this world.  About two weeks ago you started really smiling at us.  Now you will do a little coo to if we're lucky.  We think the smiles are real instead of a reflex now because you smile even when we are making a different face.   You are eating well, every 3 hours and in between, if you wake up early (which you often do) you can just sit and watch and suck on your nuk for hours.  You've taken to that like a fish to water!  ...
