This girl loves the beach! The sand, the waves, the sun, the pool, the long days, the boogie boarding. All of it. It wasn't surprising that she was excited about a beach bday and with all the fun potential games I was excited too! We did decide to keep it simpler and smaller, with just close friends, because we were just SO excited to have Lu and Emi with us to celebrate and we didn't want to spend their whole trip focused on the party. So we had her cousins, the Passmores, Flor & Carol and families come.

The kiddos came dressed in their swimsuits and ready to get wet. They played around the house and then we went outside for water games, including a water pouring relay, water wing relay and a limbo involving squirt guns. Of course there were a few who preferred not to get wet but most had a blast with the water. Of course my friend Flor had to try out the limbo as she is the first to want to do the kids games herself always. The coconut bowling ended with the coconut burst open and my daughter started licking the ground for tastes of coconut water.

We ate simple, beach-themed food: Crabwiches, a Palm Tree platter, Seaweed (Spinach) Dip, Ham and Pineapple Kabobs, Goldfish and a Beach Ball Fruit Pizza. Eden and I had worked hard at decorating a beachy cake the day before. She was very solemn as people sang to her but clearly loved being the center of that attention and took a hefty bite out of her cake after blowing out the candles. The pinata was broken and I loved watching the kids trade their stash around til they all had what they most wanted. Sunglasses and beach-scene white chocolate krispy treat pops were thank yous to take home.

What a sweet party. I don't know if I missed this but this looks awesome! What did you use for the sand? Love the photo booth! Great pictures.
